Few Words on DIACDirectorate of International Academic Cooperation (henceforth DIAC), as a Directorate, was formally established in September 2013. when formerly it was limited to a small Office, employing a Head and a single Officer. The then International Relations Office (IRO) had been headed by such characters as Mr Ebrahim Zare'i (since 2000), Dr Jafar Kambouzia (since 2005), Dr Hamidreza Rahmanizadeh Dehkordi (since 2007), and Dr Shoja Ahmadvand (2012). The then ATU IRO and the present DIAC have been organized under ATU Vice-Presidency for Research. At its establishment, DIAC launched into its international activities in the form of two distinct Offices: the Office of Planning International Academic Collaborations and the Office of Developing International Academic Collaborations. Now, rather merged as are these offices, they are offering service to students and faculty members of ATU intending to use international aids and services, as well as the foreign students and faculty visiting ATU for the same purposes.
